Hi all,

I'm totally new here and just wanted to know if there is already a file for the new SM Codex available.

Quick answer is no. Check the home page, and the sticky forum topics, and you'll see there is a minimum 30 days from official codex print release date to an AB40k file release, and maybe longer if the files are proving difficult to sort out. The files are being worked on, but we won't release them before the 30 days period is up.

Dang, totaly missed this thread. I just posted a similar question.

We've now passed the 30 day mark for the US release of the new Codex: Space Marines. Any ETA on the AB files. I know there is a certain degree of "it's done when it's done", but is it 50%, 80%, 95%?

Selfishly, I'm hoping to use it for the Battle for Salvation GT coming up this weekend.

Just for completeness: yes, it is time.
"Codex: Space Marines" is done and it has a funky patch to add (not too painful to install).
Some small issues with Sgt upgrades to sort out which is mainly to do with RAW rules interpretations and allies with other marines is not possible at this time and I suspect will be a bit of a headache (write two lists in the meantime...).

I am playing an apocalypse battle this weekend so am VERY grateful for the majority of selection and math going without a hitch.

The structure of the Marine Codex book is a quite different means of chapter tactics but it catches selecting say Lysander and a crusader squad as an invalid choice so they got the strange stuff covered.

Will post any new bugs if found as I get a 5000 point marine army figured out...

So is the file for New Space Marine Codex released? I just wait for that to buy Army builder.

Hi Homer,
Thanks for the link. But this Topic is from 2010. the New Codex Space Marines was released some weeks ago. So this does not match.

That's because it's a stickied topic, don't worry, .29 is the current marine 'dex from 2013. So yes it's out, and you can use it in AB.

By the way, make sure you use the one labelled Codex: Space Marines, that's the new one.
