CHAOS DAEMON PRINCE HQ/HEAVY SUPPORT

I have noticed that so far Daemon Princes can only be registered as HQ slot even though they specify that if you have a different chaos daemon of a specific alignment the daemon princes may become a heavy support slot.

Please reread the rules associated with this. The files are working correctly.
The special rules that adjust Daemon Princes to Heavy Support slots are listed under each of the different greater daemons. (ie, Lord of Blood, Lord of Fate, Lord of Plague, etc.)
As you will read there, there are specific requirements (The Daemon Princes have to have to be the SAME alignment as the greater daemons).
For instance, If I would select a Bloodthirster or Skarbrand:
If I choose a Daemon Prince and give it the Daemon of Khorne Option. In AB, it will automatically switch it to the Heavy Support slot, its required to be a Heavy as per the Lord of Blood rule.
Unless I'm missing something, this appears to functioning as it should.
