tyranid warrior venom cannon upgrade.

Why when i want to upgrade a 3 creature tyranid warrior unit witha venom cannon is it adding an additional warrior with venom cannon, not upgrading one of the orignal 3?

The rules, C:T, pg. 90, state that you can only upgrade one. So, I think what you want to do is upgrade one of them and reduce the original line by one. AB3.x cannot do this without goofing up the minimum squad size. Then, go to the new line and give it a venom cannon.
