Rome - the HBO series

How many folks here have seen this amazing series? I watched it when it was on HBO and now they just released it on DVD and watching it again, I can't get over how good it it. Very much an accurate depiction of life in the Roman era from all accounts. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

I like the way it portrays everything in a realistic and historical manner myself. Something about the way they handle it appeals to be.

Oh yeah, the way Attia whores out her own daughter to Pompeii Magnus in the first episode without batting an eyelash is hysterical too. Took me a few minutes to get over that one.
